Privacy notice

Who I am: Art of Mind is a one-person counselling practice run by Lara Naz Karademir Kulaksız. KvK: 98799681. Location: Helmond, the Netherlands. Contact: info@artofmindkids.nl.

What information I collect: First and last name, phone number, email address, the child’s name and age, appointment and session details, information you share in sessions and session notes, and invoice details. I only collect information that is really needed for the work.

Information about children and teenagers: Information you share about your child’s feelings, behaviour or family situation can count as special category personal data. I record it only with your explicit consent and only as far as needed for the work. For children under 16, the parents give consent. The role of the parent or legal representative, the child’s age and level of development and the nature of the counselling are taken into account when deciding how information is shared about the process.

Why I collect it: To get in touch, to plan introductory conversations and appointments, to carry out sessions, to keep the necessary session records, to issue invoices and to meet legal obligations. For session notes and information about your child, my basis is your consent. For invoice details, the basis is a legal obligation.

Who I share it with: Your information is not shared with third parties without your permission and is never sold. These providers process information on my behalf: TransIP (the Netherlands) for email, Google Firebase for the website, and WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging. For required matters such as accounting, only the necessary information is shared.

How long I keep it: [Retention period for session notes]. Invoice records are kept for [period] as required by tax law. When the period ends, I delete the information.

How I protect your information: I use password-protected accounts and encrypted connections. No automated decisions are made with your information.

Your rights: You have the right to see your information, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use and ask for it to be transferred elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, write to info@artofmindkids.nl. If you have a complaint, you can contact the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Data breach: If information were to fall into unauthorised hands, I would inform the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens and, where needed, you, as the law requires.

Website and cookies: This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can reach me by WhatsApp and email, and the website has no contact form. Some information on the pages (such as ages or fees) is loaded from Google Firebase servers. In doing so, Google may technically process the visitor’s IP address. No cookies are used for this.
